“LE GRAND SAUMUR” Brut – Appellation Saumur Controlée
This Classic Method Sparkling Wine produced in France outside the Champagne region (exactly in the Loire region) is called Crémant.
The Loire Crémants are top quality sparkling wines and the vines used in the production are Chenin and Chardonnay. Chenin is the most cultivated grape variety in the region and it allows the creation of very versatile wines, extremely suitable for sparkling wine thanks to their important acidity.
In particular, this Crémant “Le Grand Saumur” has a dry flavor with delicate hints of white-fleshed fruit and flowers, with slightly sweet hints of candy and a slightly spicy finish (fennel, anise). Extremely refreshing on the palate with a nice fine perlage.
