RIESLING “FILAGN LONG” IGT
The grapes that contribute to the production of this wine come from a vineyard of 70 years.
Optimum exposure, soil composition, cultivation and careful agronomic practices make the quality very high and in the best vintages you get a Riesling Italic with unique characteristics. After a careful selection, grapes are subjected to soft pressing immediately after manual collection. The obtained must is left to rest and placed at a controlled temperature in steel barrels, in which it remains to be refined until the time of bottling.
It has straw yellow color with greenish nuances. It has an intense, fresh scent with prevailing floral and fruity notes, including exotic fruit and apple flavors. The palate is fresh, fragrant with good persistence.
OUR SOMMELIER SAYS
“Filagn Long is a wine produced by one of the company’s historic vineyards.
Like all the wines produced from such vineyards of this type (a vineyard dated 70 years …), this wine is not produced every year, but only in the vintages that can enhance its unique, unrepeatable features.
The vine is bred with meticulous practices that can extract the best and give uniqueness to the product, other than vintage in the year.
The scents are intense, recognizable both exotic fruit and apple, exactly match the palate in which persistence and softness are perfectly balanced by the taste freshness.
From my point of view, it’s always on the podium of the wines of the company and, in the vintages where it is produced, given the limited quantities, I do not personally run away and recommend to you, friends and wine lovers of excellence, not to make it absolutely run away.
It’s not just a Riesling, it’s Filagn Long Riesling, and you will not find anyone with its features, I personally guarantee.
As a match I have always seen (and tried successfully) both with appetizers of fish and vegetables, as well as with structured fish dishes in general and with white meats; I still find it excellent at the end of a meal, given its tastiness and persistence and an aura that awaits at a nice end of a nice lunch or dinner. “
